As some of you may or may not know I I have been fostering an addiction for over 3 years now. Said addiction involves droppings wads of cash on 12-inch discs of plastic, mostly imported from Europe, that happen to sound good coming out of really big speakers. It all started out as I spent a summer in North Carolina, where I found little competition to throwing my own parties. If you are checking in from North Carolina, then you may know me as "originator of the Atlantis dance parties", or at least that's what the radio ad said. It's funny because I haven't soloed a crowd that big since the parties I threw at Atlantis (the first saw maybe 300 people), when I had absolutely no skill. Now whenever I come down to the Outer Banks of NC I always bring my latest and greatest, so if you have a party in mind, tell me about it, I'll come down for the weekend! Have 12-inch Will Travel Well, who's got time time now? Well I make time to get over to Satellite (your one-stop record shoppe in NY; they've got everything) and my record and equipment have grown over the past three years. I must have all the major house and hardhouse from 1995-1997, but since those house roots I have really tuned into the progressive stuff. Trance and techno is what I primarily play now (when I do), and I can't wait for the next opportunity to spin a rugged tech-house set. I'm not crazy about the electro sound and I think that's what separates me from most other techno DJs. Well, if you are interested, I've got some tapes I mixed. The latest went from vinyl to DAT to CD, so it sounds real good. I distribute that one on CD.
